Project #1: Halloween Songs
1. Choose a Christmas/Winter song that you are familiar with.
2. Get your Word doc ready:
- Page Layout tab > Orientation > Landscape > Save
- Page Layout tab > Columns > Two > Save
- Home tab > No Spacing > Save
3. Type your Christmas/Winter song in the left column.
4. Copy and paste the song into the right column.
5. Change words in song on the right to Halloween words.
- Lines do NOT have to rhyme
- Try to keep the rhythm of the song
6. Add a page border.
7. Change the font of both songs. Use a Christmas-y font and a Halloween-y font.
8. Change the font size of both songs to fill their columns (stay on 1 page!).
9. Add 2 appropriate clip arts - one Christmas and one Halloween
10. Add your name to the bottom of the page.
11. Wave your hand for permission to print.

Project #2: How to Carve a Jack o' Lantern
1. Type: How to Carve a Jack o' Lantern
Enter 1x
2. Type: your first and last name
Enter 1x
3. Type today's date
Enter 2x
4. Type: Materials
Enter 1x
5. Click on the bullet icon.
6. List everything you need to carve
7. Turn off bullets (click on icon again)
Enter 1x
8. Type: Directions
Enter 1x
9. Cick on the number bullet icon.
10. Type 12 steps to carve a jack o' lantern. You must have EXACTLY 12 steps - no more, no less!
Save often.
11. Add a page border.
12. Change the font.
13. Change the font size to fill the page (stay on 1 page!).
14. Add 1 appropriate clip art.
15. Wave your hand for permission to print.

Project #4: Edit Halloween Clip Art
directions Students right click on a haunted house clipart and edit:
1. Take out all eyes from windows.
2. Add a spooky clip art to each of the 5 windows and the door.
3. Animate each clip art:
a. Custom Animation > Entrance > Fade > Timing > After previous > 0.5 seconds
b. Custom Animation > Exit > Fade > Timing > After previous > 0.5 seconds
4. Choose a clip art of something that flies on Halloween
a. Custom Animation > Motion Path > draw a path from 1 side of the slide to the other
5. Run your slideshow by pressing F5!
